Rope Rescue Operator Course
The Rescue 3 Rope Rescue program has been set up for people who need technical rope rescue knowledge without a swiftwater rescue element. This course is also a pre-requisite for attending our SRT Advanced water & rope course.
Course includes pre-planning and size-up of rope rescue operations; knots and anchor systems; belay operations; ascending and descending; raising and lowering systems; and patient packaging and litter attending, among other skills and techniques.
Certified by Rescue 3 International to NFPA standards.
Course duration: 5 Days
This course is ideal for any rescue teams looking to improve their skills as well as industry users needing rescue qualifications.
Minimum age 18
Course Aims:
We aim to give every student a knowledge of the dangers inherent to the vertical environment and how to avoid them. We also aim to give students self rescue skills and as well as the experience to be able to judge for themselves how serious different situations are.
Personal Equipment required:
- Climbing helmet
- Climbing harness - Sit and chest / Full body
- Climbing equipment - Slings, Karabiners, Lanyard
- Gloves
- Suitable outdoor clothing
- Suitable footwear
- Personal rescue equipment if available - Knife, Whistle, Karabiner, Pulleys etc.
Personal equipment hire is not included in the course fee.
Personal Technical Equipment can be hired from us for a small charge when booked in advance.
