Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician Course
The original swiftwater rescue course, created by Rescue 3 in 1979. Often copied but never surpassed. For all rescue teams who would like to enhance and complement their water experience with further training in swiftwater and flood rescue. Students are not only trained in self rescue, but will also practice various different rescue techniques, in realistic situations on the river.
Certified by Rescue 3 International to NFPA standards.
Course duration: 4 Days
This course is also ideal for water and dive rescue teams that are required to work in moving water, and need to be able to recognize dangers. This 4 day course gives the rescuer not only the skills to say out of danger but trains suitable techniques that enable them to rescue others in distress.

Course Aims:
We aim to improve every students knowledge of the dangers inherent to the swiftwater environment and how to avoid them. We also aim to improve self rescue skills of every student and give them the experience to be able to judge for themselves how serious different water features are. Group rescue skills with simple, quick, low tech methods are taught first, followed by more technical and equipment intensive methods.
